Retainers

When treatment is complete, Dr. Emrich custom forms permanent retainers that are bonded to the inside of the upper and lower front teeth. These retainers hold the alignment of the front teeth, which are the teeth that most commonly want to shift when the braces are removed.

Removable retainers are also custom fit and are worn every night. Dr. Emrich goes the “extra mile” to make sure the teeth stay in good alignment, but it is important for the patient to wear the retainers faithfully.
